Cygnus Rock Band - Fenrir, the Wolf (video review)

Whoah. Just whoah.
The video was released last Sunday, but I'm still just WHOAHing here.
The video.
These 4 men.
Their power, charisma, energy, manliness, talent, dedication.
The way as they are.
WHOOAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yes, dear Reader. I want to continue the absolutely not subtle tone of my post about the waiting for this video's release (if you read it, you know what I'm talking about) and let me confess you right in the beginning that this video was and still is like being possessed (or blessed, if you like it with a pinch of romance)

yes, THAT way

throughout all my body holes, the blessings running down on my face, perhaps even on other parts of my skin as well, let's say, around my heart. It is exactly like that. And if you take it, dear Reader, that I watch it on loop, well... you can imagine. Possessed, blessed, swimming in the blessings.
And I fkin enjoy it and can't get enough.

The song itself starts by default like a ferocious wolf grabbing you and making you right there as his very own possession

THAT way

and the first seconds of the video perfectly mirror this impression.
You see only hands.
Hands, that make magic. This magic.
Three hands that control - and release - this entire, massive, huge load of beauty, energy and power.
And then you see the fourth and the bestial force (I use this word on purpose, you will see why) knocks you out.
Ruxx is sitting behind his drumset, empowering the other three - whom you still can't see - with enormous intensity. His hair is let down, he wears make-up around his eyes...
...and you see the chains around his neck.
And you can't help but think of Gleipnir, the chain (or rope) the gods tied up Fenrir with.
And it's still the very beginning. Hands only... with an already thundering power.

Then you see the other three and you almost lose your consciousness.
Three warriors, three powerful men in black, with their instruments in their hands. Three men, backed by an insane source of energy.

You don't resist this energy at all. You don't even want to. Your knees are weakened long ago, your heart is throbbing and wants to jump out of your chest. Your lips are dry, your skin is hot, your blood is rushing in your veins. You can't get your eyes off of these four champions.
You don't even want to.

And they play.

You give in to this raging masculine power. In fact you grab it and hold it to yourself. You yourself want it to possess you. You're the one who lets it inside of you, who yearns to have it, you want to possess it and to be possessed. And be sure, dear Reader, this enormous spirit and vigor coming from these 4 wonderful musicians will be more than happy to find the way inside of you. Throughout your eyes, ears and all the other ways you provide them to find your heart.
And you provide them every way with green light.

You're watching them. You're watching the guitarist wizard Andrés, as his fingers are rushing up and down on the guitar's neck. You're watching the forever calm and collected Jota, the icon of stability and focus, providing the massive guitar base for Andrés, to be able to make magic. And you're watching Deneb, the mastermind, standing in front, showing the path for the other three around him...
...and you see that his right eye is blinded with a nasty scar running through his face.

A drop of saliva runs down from the corner of your lips down on your cheek and your neck. Dewdrops of sweat appear all over your skin, everywhere

yes, EVERYWHERE

your breathing is heavy and you don't just allow but you call out for this sweeping energy to hold you down, prise you open and grab you, and you give in to its dominating power.
And you love it, the more powerful it grows, the more you're in love.

You can even see closeups with the musicians' hands as they play their instruments. I have always loved these images, regardless of the musical genre or the performer. On one hand I find it heart-warming and beautiful to see how my favorite musicians are playing, admiring their talent, skills and techniques; on the other it never ceases to fascinate me to think how much practice, dedication, how many hours of playing the piece over and over again can be behind one elegant and delicate movement of fingers until they arrived at this point, that they do it seemingly without any difficulties. And these wonderful four men all play their instruments as if this was their morning excersise every day after waking up, before their first coffee.

Then Ruxx starts to sing.
His voice by default has this domineering power in this song on the album, but now, seeing him you get hit right on your chest. Everyone's favorite drummer-singer doesn't hold himself back, he lets the song flow through himself and as he performs it, he manifests that raw, brute energy this song is about.
And he does it on a professional way while playing the drums on his usual, virtuoso level.

I especially love how Deneb appears in the distance behind him, since at the first stanzas it's only the rhythm section that accompanies the humane voice.

Then Deneb appears, holding a stick

that stick which appeared in "Walking Through the Forest of Life", too

staring with his blind eye right at you.

You're sweating and you're trying to find your breath. You already got a serious load of energy that is circulating now inside of you, but you want more. You reach out, your hand is shaking... and you get it. These four warriors do not hesitate for a second to load another wave of intensity, rawness and biting power into you.

Here comes the chorus.
Epic, beautiful, breath-taking, with the weight of a pack of hungry, feral, blood-thirsty wolves. It brings you to the ground, you're shivering, your eyes are full of tears from the beauty. Your four heroes reach out for you and constantly put more and more loads of fierceness into your hands and you take it, grab it, hold it tight while you're watching them without even batting an eyelid, because even that tiny time would be too long of not seeing them. You don't even care that your eyes may get dry.

They don't, because they are full of tears.

And it all continues. Andrés, Jota, Ruxx and Deneb don't stop for a second. You wonder for a moment how they gained this amount of power, that it's so strong and endless, but... you know that they are superheroes. And they can do this, too. With all the radioactivity, the determination and firmness.

Ruxx is singing. Hands make magic for the whole time, and you see them. You give in, in every second. Deneb stares at you with his blind right eye, but you have the feeling that this blinded eye is capable to see everything in you, even those things you try to hide from yourself. You're mesmerized, you know you're under the power of these four magicians. And you love it, you want more, even more.

The pre-solo part this way, watching these four rockers is even more brutal, even though by default on the album it is a part that deserves to be blasted on full volume.
Then they let it go.
And you're watching Ruxx as he is drumming, the other three, Andrés, Deneb and Jota letting all the electricity and radioactivity flow, here, dear Reader, this has the power of a tsunami. You're watching Andrés making miracles with his guitar, Deneb's fingers running through the bass's neck, Jota being the embodiment of constancy and Ruxx tirelessly providing the inducement for the band's subversive power.
And you love it. You can't have enough of it.

And you just watch them, their hands, as the catharsis slowly grows out of their fingers, you watch them in their all-black outfits in front of the white background

once Ruxx and Deneb mentioned, around the release of the video that their purpose with this black and white scheme was that the viewer should focus on the music itself, that nothing should divide their attention; no forest, no trees, nothing, it should be the pure power of music and nothing more

well, gentlemen, you do have my undivided, full and total attention, love, obsession and literally all sorts of sweat as well

you watch them making magic, you surrender to them and the beauty that flows wherever they are.
And then you start it all over.
On loop.
